The BSIDE ESR02 PRO Digital Transistor Tester is a useful tool for identifying different electronic components and testing resistors. It is good at giving ballpark ESR readings and can test in-circuit, though caution should be used as it sends voltage through the components. It doesn't come with test leads and cannot quickly identify typical parts like 2n2222 or 2n3904 from numbers it gives. If the meter fails, the manufacturer may be able to help with repairs. The device has a timeout before power-off but this can be modified by accessing a menu.
