Keyecu Key Shells Editorial Review
The Keyecu Flip Remote Key Shell for Mercedes-Benz models has received predominantly positive feedback from customers. Many users appreciate the upgrade in design and build quality compared to the original key fobs. Particularly noted is the metal key ring holder, which users find much sturdier than the plastic version that often breaks. This is seen as a significant enhancement for those frequently using their keys. Customers have mentioned that while assembly instructions are lacking, the process is manageable for those who possess a basic mechanical aptitude. Care should be taken when transferring internal components from the old fob, as losing any part could hinder the functionality of the new key fob. The quality of fit and finish is Consistently praised, and several reviews highlight the durability of the new fob even after extensive use. Users have noted that the screws keeping the fob halves together provide a more secure assembly than the snap-together designs of many aftermarket options, contributing to increased confidence in the fob's integrity. However, there are some drawbacks. A few customers expressed frustration with the absence of programming instructions, and some found the cost associated with programming the fob—if needed—too high. A reminder that the small transponder chip must be carefully transferred from the old fob is also noted, as it is crucial for the key to function correctly. Overall, the Keyecu Flip Remote Key Shell stands out as a reliable and stylish alternative to the original Mercedes-Benz key fob, with superior components and thoughtful design that cater to the needs of long-time vehicle owners. **
