The sandals are waterproof and made of EVA, with a nice arch and cupped heel area. The soles are nonmarring and have good traction. They are comfortable to wear, with a solid make but the Velcro straps can be poorly placed, with only 10-50% of the Velcro actively keeping the sandal on. The sizing may run small, but it feels durable and soft in the ankles. The footbed is not technically sunken, but it has a raised arch. A reviewer suggested ordering half a size larger, and the sandals fit a narrow foot. There is no Neoprene in the sandal. A reviewer recommended getting a synthetic sandal (Holliway, Hurricane XLT or Terra Fi 4) for spending significant time in the water. One reviewer decided to get new sandals after his old TEVA sandals broke, and thought that the new pair had an apparent improvement in arch support. However, another reviewer noticed bad stitching of the Velcro on the straps, which negatively affected the movement of the straps through their loop fittings.
