Action & Adventure Editorial Review
Batman Ninja is an "Elseworlds"-type reimagining of Batman and his cohorts in feudal Japan. The concept of Batman in anime style is not new, but the film takes it to another level by seamlessly blending Japanese culture and history with the Dark Knight's mythos. The animation is fantastic, except for a short interlude in the middle. However, some viewers may not appreciate the story, which some critics found to be implausible, with unimaginative fight scenes and absurd elements like monkeys and bats forming a giant mech-like warrior.
