Watching the river with a lot of thoughts in his mind, Dazai sees a young man drifting in the river and runs towards the water to save him.An unexpected conversation begins between the two, which turns into an intellectual bickering. Hoping to endear himself to this young man who dropped out of high school, Dazai will find himself in some strange situations that night, where he will agree to perform as a live narrator at a movie screening instead of the child.
